Many Americans must choose between food and the basic needs of life. U.S. Department of
Agriculture statistics show that hunger and poverty are rising in America.
The Chicago Tribune reports that the Greater Chicago Food
Depository, which serves 600 agencies, distributed 36 million pounds of food. It is estimated that the food bank will
distribute 42 million pounds this year, which translates to about 91,000 families a week.
Hunger knows no color, no race and no religion. Neither does Sabeel Food Pantry. IFANCA launched the Sabeel Food Pantry in October 2003 to reach out to individuals and families in need of assistance. The services of Sabeel Food Pantry are available to anyone in need. If you need help, want to make a donation or wish to volunteer to help, please contact Sabeel Food Pantry. |
